Practicing Self-Love.
To me, self-love means putting my happiness and well-being first, despite how others may feel. We tend to want to please others in order to make them happy, but what are you doing to make yourself happy? Therapy has taught me the value of loving myself even on my darkest days. I know that I matter; we all do. I recall times when I let others walk all over me, not speaking up when I was uncomfortable, and putting others ahead of myself. Now, I do not hesitate to do what makes me happy; we all should. Please know that putting yourself first is not a bad thing; it’s the best form of self-love that you can have. Kianathewriter
